Your Company benefits package gives you the opportunity to take advantage of additional programs that can save you money and assist with everyday needs.

Overview

From financial and educational support to affordable auto and home insurance, the Company has benefits and discounts to support you at every stage in your life. Continue reading to learn more about:

Educational Support

The Company encourages you to continue learning and developing by reimbursing education-related expenses. If you are a full-time Associate and have completed at least one year of service, the Company will reimburse 100% of the cost of tuition, books and fees related to an approved course up to an annual maximum of $10,000.

Scholarship Program

To support the advanced education of our Associate’s children and grandchildren, the Company awards fifty one-time scholarships of $3,000 to eligible applicants each year. Eligible applicants must meet all the following criteria:

  • Must be the child (including stepchildren or other legal dependent child) or grandchild of a full- or part-time Company Associate employed under a Company legal entity/business with at least one year of service as of December 31 of the previous year
  • Must be a high-school senior planning to graduate before the fall semester of the year in which the scholarship is awarded
  • Must demonstrate qualities that make them well-rounded, such as initiative, creativity, and integrity
  • Must be qualified for enrollment in an institution of higher learning for the upcoming fall semester

To apply, your child or grandchild must submit:

  • An academic transcript
  • Their SAT or ACT score
  • A summary of activities, awards, and honors
  • A summary of work experience
  • Two essays with topics provided
  • One letter of recommendation
  • Their future academic plans (i.e., the name of the college or university they will attend)

Scholarship awards are announced in June of each year and will be addressed directly to the educational institutions of the recipients. The scholarship may be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for the recipient’s course load. For more information, review the Scholarship Program Policy.

Donation Program

The Company aims to strengthen the communities in which our Associates live and work by matching charitable donations and sponsoring initiatives that align with our areas of community focus. As part of that commitment, the Company will:

  • Match Associate donations to an eligible organization between $50 and $500 annually
  • Provide financial donations to an eligible organization’s initiative, activity, or event

For Company Matching Donations, you must submit a Company Matching Donations Form after you have made your personal contribution. You will be notified within five days whether your Company Matching Donation has been approved.

Associate Referral Program

The Company believes that current Associates are equipped to identify talented and qualitied candidate for roles at the Company. To be eligible for a bonus, a candidate must list you as the source of referral when applying and you must submit a Company Associate Referral Program Form within 90 days of the candidate’s hire date.

If your referred candidate is hired and completes 90 days of consecutive employment with the Company, you will receive one of the following bonus amounts:

  • Union and non-union hourly: $500
  • Maintenance hourly: $750
  • Salaried: $1,000

Group Legal Plan

If you’ve purchased a home or prepared a will, you know how expensive legal services can be. With the legal plan, you’ll receive unlimited advice over the phone and office consultations for a wide variety of issues, such as:

  • Money matters, such as debt collection defense, personal bankruptcy, tax audits;
  • Real estate matters, such as deeds, foreclosure, sale or purchase of a home, tenant negotiations;
  • Estate planning, such as document preparation, trusts and wills, codicils;
  • Family and personal, such as immigration assistance, name change, prenuptial agreement, juvenile court defense; 
  • Civil lawsuits, such as small claims assistance, civil litigation defense;
  • Elder care issues (Powers of Attorney, Medicare/Medicaid, nursing home agreements); 
  • Vehicle and driving, such as defense of traffic tickets (excluding DUI), license suspension due to DUI, repossession;
  • And much more.

The plan provides legal representation for you, your spouse, and dependents at an affordable price. If you enroll in coverage, you cannot drop coverage until the next Annual Enrollment in the fall.

Once you do this, you will be asked to provide some personal information, including your full name, address and the employer or organization offering the legal plan to confirm your eligibility.

Auto & Home Insurance

As a Company Associate, you have access to comprehensive auto and home insurance at group rates through Farmers. Call 1-866-383-8897 (mention code AZK) or go to Farmers for information or to purchase coverage. If you sign up for this service, you will be direct billed by Farmers.

BBU Extras

You have access to special perks through BBU Extras. BBU Extras provides access to discounts, limited time offers and great deals on top brands like T-Mobile, Cross Country Mortgage, as well as deals on travel, electronics and more!

The program is automatically provided by the Company – you do not need to elect this benefit and there is no cost for you to participate.

Blue365 Discount Program

BCBSIL has resources that can help you manage your health and wellness. Blue365 is a program available at no cost to all Company Associates enrolled in a Company medical plan. The program offers discounts from 5% to 20% off gym memberships, fitness gear, healthy eating options and virtual wellness programs. By signing up, you will have access to top retailers offering discounts on fitness apparel, footwear, tracking devices like Fitbit, headphones, water bottles and even race registrations.
