Healthy teeth and gums are important to your overall wellness. With dental coverage through Delta Dental you have two plan options to cover preventive care and dental treatment.

2024 Dental Plans

The Company offers a choice of dental plans with different benefit levels and costs, so you can choose the one that works best for you.

  • The Standard Option is a lower-cost plan with a lower deductible, annual maximum, and lifetime orthodontia maximum for dependents up to age 19.
  • The High Option is a higher-cost plan with a higher deductible, annual maximum, and lifetime orthodontia maximum for dependents up to age 19.

Both plans offer you access to Delta Dental’s two provider networks. Delta Dental PPO network dentists generally offer the lowest contracted rates and greatest cost savings. The Delta Dental Premier network is broader than the PPO network, so you’ll have greater choice in providers; however, your out-of-pocket costs may be higher than if you had received care from a PPO network dentist.

You can enroll in dental coverage as a new hire, during Annual Enrollment, or if you have a qualifying life event.

How much does dental coverage cost?

You pay for dental coverage through before-tax Premiums from your paycheck. The amount you pay will depend on which plan you choose and whether you cover just yourself or family members, too. You can view your plan costs on the BBU Benefits Center website.

Find a network dentist

You can see any dentist you want, but you’ll generally pay less by staying in network. Selecting a dentist in the Delta Dental network will ensure you receive your plan’s highest benefits. Visit the Delta Dental website to find an in-network dentist near you. When selecting a network, choose either the Delta Dental PPO network or the Delta Dental Premier network.

Request a pretreatment estimate

Request an estimate for procedures and services your dentist believes will exceed $300 (procedures such as crowns, inlays, bridges, and periodontics). For more information, call Delta Dental at 1-800-471-5612 or visit the Delta Dental website.
